Fundamentals of Prosecution Course

Fundamentals of Prosecution is a 20 hour continuing legal education course conduced by the Training Division of the Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia for newly admitted prosecutors. It has been approved by the Commission on Continuing Legal Competency as the educational component of the Transition Into Law Practice Program for prosecuting attorneys. As a newly admitted prosecutor you attend Fundamentals in lieu of attending Enhanced Bridge the Gap program, or the Fundamentals of Law Practice program of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. While designed to meet the needs of the newly admitted prosecutor, Fundamentals is open to any attorney who is new to prosecution.

During the course, you will also have the opportunity to be sworn in as members of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Georgia Court of Appeals. The forms and procedures necessary to be admitted to the appellate courts will be sent to you when you register for the Course.
