National Crime Victims' Rights Week Ceremony &

Victims of crime, victim advocates, district attorneys and solicitors-general are invited to attend and interact with the leaders of the sponsoring agencies. Staff of the Georgia Crime Victims Compensation Program and the State Board of Pardons and Paroles will be on hand to speak with victims about their cases.

Sponsored by the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia, the State Board of Pardons and Paroles, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Public Safety, the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs, the Governor's Office of Children and Families, and the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.

The day will include watching the session from the gallery of the House or Senate, a walking tour of the Capitol, plus more. This orientation day should give you an overview of how the legislative process works, make it easier to navigate the grounds of the Capitol and will get you prepared for another important event in February.
