Cherokee County Solicitor-General’s Office
The Cherokee County Solicitor-General’s Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant Solicitor-General. Job duties include, but are not limited to: reviewing and evaluating misdemeanor cases, filing accusations, arguing motions, plea negotiations, managing pre-trial diversion cases, trials, probation revocations and appeals.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Experience as a prosecutor or with a prosecution office as an intern or extern under the Third Year Practice Act or Law School Graduate Act.
- Applicant must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and should be a member of the Appellate Courts of Georgia. Those who have just passed the Bar and are awaiting swearing-in may also be considered.
An employment background check and drug screening will be required. References should be available upon request.
