Assistant Solicitor General

The Hall County Solicitor-General’s Office has an opening for an Assistant Solicitor-General.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Prosecution of misdemeanor violations in the Hall County State Court.  The investigation and preparation of cases for trial, including prosecution of misdemeanor violations representing the State in all stages of court proceedings, and performing additional tasks relating to the function of the department as assigned by the Solicitor.

Preferred Qualifications: Front trial attorney position in a division of Hall County State Court. Advanced litigation classes, mock trial, or courtroom experience preferred but not required. Applicants must be capable of effectively multi-tasking and working well in a team environment, possess a positive attitude, and a strong sense of personal and community responsibility. Must be a licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and salary is commensurate with experience. Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
