Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit
The Office of the DeKalb County District Attorney, Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Financial Assistant. This is a full-time position whose duties include, but are not limited to, procurement activities for the District Attorney’s Office, including services, supplies, equipment and materials; accounts payable and receivable functions: reviews and approves vendor invoices; processes and approves journal entries; prepares p-card reports; ensures accurate record keeping of revenues; processes witness travel and employee travel reimbursements; and other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications: Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration or related field; supplemented by five years of progressively responsible experience in budget development and administration in a municipal setting, to include lead or supervisory experience and seven years of experience in the field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
The successful candidate must possess a strong financial or accounting background; excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to provide quality customer service; critical thinking skills; organizational and time management proficiency; ability to multi-task, meet time sensitive deadlines, handle a high volume of work assignments with a dedication to produce quality work product; and be self-directed. Oracle experience is preferred.
Employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of a criminal background check. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience. This is a County paid position.
