Appellate Track Day 1: Appellate Rules and Procedures (Webinar)
The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia invites prosecutors to attend the Appellate Rules and Procedures Webinar on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am. This webinar is part of the Appellate Track for the week which includes three separate webinars. Each of these webinars offers 1 CLE hour.
Description of Training:
We all need to know them, but we never seem to know them until we need them. In this webinar, we’ll do a high-level review of Georgia’s appellate rules and procedures, including jurisdictional issues, the State’s appellate rights and responsibilities, standards of review, and appellate motions practice. At the end of the hour, attendees will have a better idea of where to look the next time they face a need-to-know situation on appeal.
Speaking on this topic will be the Honorable Todd Hayes, Solicitor-General of Cherokee County, and Mr. Sam d’Entremont, Assistant District Attorney from the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit.
CLE credit will be offered for this training (no POST or Victim Advocate credits available). To register for this class, please click the registration link. If you have any questions, please contact the Training Department at training@pacga.org.
