Appellate Track Day 3: Oral Advocacy on Appeal (Webinar)
The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia invites prosecutors to attend the Oral Advocacy on Appeal Webinar on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am. This webinar is part of the Appellate Track for the week which includes three separate webinars. Each of these webinars offers 1 CLE hour.
Description of Training:
Depending on your point of view, oral argument is either the most terrifying or the most exciting aspect of appellate litigation. This webinar seeks to move attendees away from the “terrifying” side of the spectrum and a little closer to the “exciting” side. Attendees will explore effective strategies for preparing and organizing their materials for argument, get practical tips about how to survive “argument day,” and learn what matters about oral argument – and what does not.
Speaking on this topic will be the Honorable Todd Hayes, Solicitor-General of Cherokee County, and Mr. Sam d’Entremont, Assistant District Attorney from the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit.
CLE credit will be offered for this training (no POST or Victim Advocate credits available). To register for this class, please click the registration link. If you have any questions, please contact the Training Department at training@pacga.org.
