Virtual Summer Conference 2020: Week Three

Virtual Summer Conference 2020: Week 3 | Domestic Violence Track

Before we jump into these webinars, let’s take a closer look at a few of Georgia’s Domestic Violence Statistics. According to the Georgia Commission on Family Violence, our state ranks 10th in the nation for the rate of men killing women. In 2019, 166 Georgians lost their lives due to a domestic violence-related incident… 73% of those victims were killed by firearms.

The challenge of reducing these statistics through successful prosecution highlights the need to provide specialized training for the dedicated prosecutors, victims advocates, and law enforcement officers to support their efforts to help victims of crime.

This track is open to prosecutors, law enforcement, and victim advocates and offers up to 5 CLE, POST, and Victim Advocate credit hours.
