Webinar | Jury Selection during the Shadows of a Pandemic
The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia invites prosecutors to attend Jury Selection during the Shadows of a Pandemic: An Inside Look with a Medical Professional webinar on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. It offers 1.5 CLE hours.
Description of Training: This presentation is meant to serve as guidance on the local level for the steps needed before we can bring jurors back into our courthouses. Ms. Sheila Ross, Director of Capital Litigation for PAC, will be addressing the legal issues. She will be joined by a medical professional to address the medical issues.
CLE/POST/Advocate Credit: Please note the CLE credit will fall under the in-house/self-study rule. The rule has a six hour maximum on CLE credits (increased to 12 for 2019). A webinar falls in the same category as a video review. If you are requesting CLE hours, there is a $4 charge. Please mail the CLE form and the check to PAC. A copy of the CLE form will be provided in your email confirmation.
POST: Unfortunately POST credit is not available for this course. You are welcome to attend, but you will not receive credit.
Advocate: UPDATE! Please note that you will receive a blank certificate template in the email confirmation for you to complete your own certificate. You will only need to add your first and last name to the certificate. We trust that you will be accurate and honest in the process of reporting your credit hours. This will be a temporary process until we upgrade our registration system. We do still ask for you to submit your advocate form to us so we have a copy of your affidavit on file.
