2020 District Attorneys’ Association of Georgia Award Recipients

A Message from the President of the District Attorneys’ Association of Georgia:

Each year at our Summer Conference, the District Attorneys’ Association of Georgia recognizes three prosecutors and three investigators nominated by their bosses and peers for their outstanding leadership and service to the citizens of our fine state. The Association also selects one District Attorney to be recognized as District Attorney of the Year. Unfortunately, the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council was unable to host their traditional Summer Conference in July due to COVID-19, but our Association did not want to pass on the opportunity to recognize the hard work of those men and women on the line fighting for justice day in and day out. This year, as in the past, we have selected one ADA and one Investigator from each of the following three divisions: Division 1, comprised of DA’s offices with 1-12 ADAs; Division 2, comprised of DA’s offices with 13-23 ADAs; and Division 3, comprised of DA’s offices with 24 and more ADAs.

As Condoleezza Rice once said, “There’s no greater challenge and there is no greater honor than to be in public service.” This year, all of our honorees have devoted their careers, and actually their entire lives, to public service. As the President of the District Attorneys’ Association of Georgia, it is truly my pleasure to recognize the talent, dedication, and commitment of these individuals who fight hard for justice, seek to help victims of crime, and truly understand the value of service. Our profession is full of superstars and it has never been easy to select just a few outstanding men and women to honor. This year was no different. We are extremely proud of each of the recipients for all of their hard work and dedication. From all of the District Attorneys in Georgia, congratulations on these much-deserved awards!
