Assistant Solicitor General
This position assists with the prosecution of misdemeanor violations in the Coweta County State Court. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the investigation and preparation of cases for trial, representing the State in all stages of court proceedings, and performing additional tasks relating to the function of the department as assigned by the Solicitor-General.
Preferred Qualifications:
Litigation classes, mock trial, or courtroom experience preferred but not required. Applicants must be capable of effectively multi-tasking and working well in a team environment, possess a positive attitude, and a strong sense of personal and community responsibility. Must be a licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and salary is commensurate with experience. Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
