Assistant District Attorney

The Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office will soon have an opening for an Assistant District Attorney position in our Troup office. The position is full-time and salary will be based on experience.

Applicants will be expected to:  Review, interpret and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems; concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing; prepare, present, and conduct hearings, trials and appeals; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and possess a strong sense of personal and community responsibility.

Applicants should be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia, be a member in good standing with the Bar of another state that is eligible for reciprocity admittance to the Georgia Bar, or be awaiting bar results. However, law students graduating in 2025 may apply.

Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, DMV records, and pre-employment drug screening. Employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each screening.
