Part-Time Investigator
The DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit has an opening for an Part-Time Investigator. The following duties are normal for this position; other duties may be required and assigned:
• Conducts thorough and impartial investigations to gather evidence used in the apprehension, indictment, prosecution and conviction of law violators.
• Works with other law enforcement agencies during investigations; locating & subpoenaing victims/witnesses, completing cases as appropriate; and participating in high risk assignments, including raids, arrests and undercover work.
The Investigator will work approx. 24 hours a week. Minimum 3 days a week, 8 hours a day.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology or Criminal Justice required; two years of experience in investigation, law enforcement, criminology or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
