DeKalb Judicial Circuit
Receptionist
The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office seeks an experienced, highly organized, and customer service focused Receptionist. The receptionist is a member of the Records Unit team and will report directly to the Lead Records Technician. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the public, providing courteous and efficient customer service while managing front desk operations. This role supports daily administrative functions, ensures smooth communication within the office and has the potential for a hybrid work schedule as required.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Greet and assist visitors, citizens, and staff in a professional manner
• Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
• Provide accurate information about government services, procedures, and office locations
• Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes as required
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail and official documents
• Work in the case management system
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and secure
• Assist with basic clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and photocopying
• Handle inquiries, complaints, or direct them to the appropriate department
• Follow government protocols for confidentiality and security

Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a high School diploma or equivalent, but an Associate’s degree or five (5) years of comparable job-related work experience is preferred. Additionally, candidates should have experience working in legal, government, or criminal justice environments and an understanding of confidentiality requirements. Previous receptionist or administrative experience, preferably in a public sector setting. Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite is required.
