Senior Systems Administrator

The Office of the District Attorney is seeking a highly skilled and solutions‑oriented Senior Systems Administrator to support the office’s expanding technology and operational needs. This role is critical to ensuring smooth daily operations across the office, maintaining essential databases, and providing supervisory support to two distinct administrative teams. As a member of the Operations and Special Projects unit, the Senior Systems Analyst will work directly under the Deputy Director of Technology and Data to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational/administrative efficiency across the office.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee the maintenance, functionality, and optimization of internal databases and software applications.
• Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with vendors, and implement improvements to support case management, records, and operations.
• Serve as an internal expert for system-related questions, assisting staff with access, troubleshooting, and training.
• Support the rollout of new software tools, updates, and technology initiatives.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for administrative functions and integrated technology workflows.
• Provide direct supervision, guidance, and performance support to the Special Unit Trial Assistant Supervisor, Trial Division Trial Assistant Supervisor, and the Records Department Lead Technician and lead those respective administrative units.

Key competencies:
The successful candidate will have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail and must possess superior analytical skills, particularly in a technical environment; must be strategically minded and resourceful when presented with problems or roadblocks; demonstrate the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, staff members, and other departments; must be able to work well in a team environment, while at the same time have the ability to work independently; must be able to provide direction and support to internal support staff; must possess the ability to guide, mentor, evaluate, and correct administrative staff; experience with Odyssey or a similar case management application; technical proficiency in database management and system administration, ability to manage multiple priorities; commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of comparable job-related work experience, including supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, with demonstrated experience in computer analytics, software management, software testing, and troubleshooting. Additionally, candidates should have experience working in legal, government, or criminal justice environments, familiarity with case management systems, and familiarity with data governance principles. Proficiency working in Odyssey and various digital evidence platforms is strongly preferred.
