Responding Team Leader - UIFSA Division

The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office invites applications for a Responding Team Leader in its Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) Division. This division specializes in prosecuting interstate child support cases, with a focus on case establishment and enforcement.

This role presents an opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to lead and support a dynamic team in achieving critical goals within the child support enforcement framework.

Casework Management duties:

• Supervise casework functions to ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Process review and modification requests, including registrations of modified orders.
• Provide guidance on sensitive and complex cases.
• Perform administrative tasks critical to team operations.
• Participate in local and statewide projects as needed.
Team Supervision and Training
• Assist and oversee daily activities of the Responding Team to ensure operational efficiency and policy compliance.
• Identify and address training and development needs for staff.
• Supervise front desk and file clerk staff, including scheduling and payment processing.
• Stay informed about policy updates and apply knowledge to improve team operations.
• Act as a backup for the Responding Team Supervisor.
Complaint Resolution and Investigation
• Investigate and resolve complaints in a timely manner, ensuring documentation is updated in the STARS system.
• Conduct independent investigations and communicate findings.
Financial Case Management
• Manage arrears, interest adjustments, and reversal disputes.
• Reconcile payments and prepare monthly financial reports.
Additional Duties
• Prepare necessary documentation prior to court and post-court updates for UIFSA cases.
• Conduct quick locate services and manage walk-in inquiries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience: Knowledge of financial/auditing practices and customer service experience. Familiarity with the DCSS STARS database is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and typing speed of 40 WPM.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
