Case Manager-UIFSA Division

The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office is currently accepting resumes for a case manager for its Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) Division. UIFSA prosecutes establishment and enforcement interstate child support cases. We are looking for a dynamic case manager who will be responsible for managing a child support caseload. You will work under the direction of a supervisor. The goal is to sustain efficiency of all office procedures and case management to guarantee reliability and consistency.

Essential Functions, including but not limited to:
• Under general supervision, manages a caseload of 500 to 600 cases for preparation and completion of UIFSA petitions through to the entry of child support orders. Daily management including but not limited to monitoring the establishment of child support obligations and paternity; investigating and responding to inquiries and complaints; managing caseload documentation and prompts; and, performing locate efforts.
• Maintains state required percentage and performance goals.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with customers, child support agencies, and colleagues.
• Maintains knowledge of current policies, procedures; and,
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess an associate or bachelor’s degree, as well as experience with UIFSA child support cases or demonstrate equivalent of local child support case management experience and the DCSS STARS database. Demonstrates strong work ethic and great attitude. Ability to complete reports by given deadlines and maintain daily prompts. The position requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. Must be able to multitask and work within a high stress environment with a high volume of files under time constraints.

• Strong organizational skills are a must, along with mastery of DCSS STARS database.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary and must be able to work well in a team environment, while at the same time having the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task, meet time sensitive deadlines, handle a high volume of work assignments with dedication to produce quality work products; and,
• A commitment to serving the community and working with the public.
