The Douglas County Solicitor-General’s Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant Solicitor-General. This position will handle all aspects of misdemeanor criminal and traffic prosecutions in the Douglas County State Court. Job duties include, but are not limited to: reviewing and evaluating misdemeanor cases, filing accusations, preparation of cases for motions and trials, plea negotiations, trials, appeals, and probation revocations.

We will show a preference for candidates with at least one year experience working in a prosecutor’s office. This includes volunteer work, internships, or externships.

Minimum Qualifications:
– A Juris Doctor Degree in law from an accredited law school.
– Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and should be a member of the Appellate Courts of Georgia.

A criminal history background check and drug screening will be required.

Salary Range: $55,599.36 – $63,000.00
