Assistant District Attorney - Appellate Unit
The District Attorney’s Office in the Douglas Judicial Circuit has an opening for a full-time Assistant District Attorney in the Appellate Section.
Principal duties include, but are not limited to, appeals from criminal convictions to the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals, motions for new trial and other post-conviction motions in the Douglas County Superior Court. This position predominantly involves legal writing and research, with some courtroom appearances required. This position also includes additional responsibilities, including assisting with special projects.

Preferred Qualifications: Applicants should submit a writing sample. Prior appellate experience is required.
Applicant must be in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. This is a state paid position and salary is commensurate with experience.
