Legal Staff Assistant
Candidates must possess excellent secretarial and/or paralegal skills. Candidates must be deadline oriented, able to multi-task, and have a mature, pleasant, and professional demeanor in a stressful, fast- paced environment. Position involves heavy contact with the public via phones and in person; candidate must have excellent phone and people skills while serving at the front desk as a full time receptionist and performing administrative work. The position also involves extensive contact with victims, courts, attorneys and the general public. Administrative and legal experience preferred. The position requires attention to detail and a thorough understanding of victim’s rights. Must be able to interpret policies and procedures, perform legal research, and complete legal forms, as well as any other duties assigned. Candidate must be able to follow procedures independently.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma/GED, supplemented by course work in legal/paralegal field
• Proficiency with graphic design and social media platforms is preferred, but not required
• Minimum of five years’ related experience
• Mandatory – Must be able to type 50 WPM
• Computer literate with MS Office Suite experience
• Minimum 18 years of age
Employment is contingent upon passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen, Motor Vehicle Report and Background Investigation.
