Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit
Assistant District Attorney
The District Attorney’s Office in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit has an opening for a circuit paid Assistant District Attorney. The circuit is located in the northwest corner of Georgia and borders Chattanooga, Tennessee, as well as Alabama. It is a rural, suburban mix with nearby urban attractions. The area is well-known for its scenic beauty and premier outdoor activities and events.
All applicants must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or be in good standing of another state’s bar association that is eligible for reciprocity admittance to the State Bar of Georgia; and be admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. Although current Georgia bar members with experience are preferred, upcoming law school graduates who will be taking the Georgia bar exam in July, 2024 will be considered. All candidates are subject to a background check.
Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation. This position is subject to employment verification using the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify System.
