Mountain Judicial Circuit
Assistant District Attorney
The District Attorney’s Office in the Mountain Judicial Circuit has an opening for an Assistant District Attorney. This is a State paid ADA position open for the Child Support Office in the Mountain Judicial Circuit. This position is funded by the Georgia Department of Human Services through the Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia. The Mountain Judicial Circuit is made up of Rabun, Habersham, and Stephens counties. Banks County will be joining the circuit in January 2025.
The Child Support Office in located in Clarkesville, Habersham County. Duties include supporting the Child Support agents and staff, drafting legal documents, and attending Superior Court as well as our Parental Accountability Court. If you enjoy the mountains and outdoor recreation our circuit has it all.
Minimum qualifications: All applicants must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or be in good standing of another state’s bar association that is eligible for reciprocity admittance to the State Bar of Georgia; and be admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
All candidates are subject to a background check. Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
