Office Manager

The District Attorney’s Office in the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager with a strong background in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll. Under general supervision, this role provides administrative, financial, and clerical support while ensuring compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and legal guidelines. The Office Manager reports to the District Attorney or designated personnel and collaborates with office staff, law enforcement, court personnel, government employees, and the public to maintain efficient office operations.

Accounting & Financial Management:  Manage bookkeeping, accounts payable, and billing.  Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.  Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with regulations.

Payroll Administration:  Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.  Process and oversee monthly payroll.

Office Administration & Operations:  Serve as the liaison between attorneys, investigators, government officials, and the public.  Handle incoming communications, providing professional and confidential responses.  Manage office supply inventory and coordinate purchases. Support attorneys, investigators, and victim advocates with administrative tasks.

General Support & Compliance:  Ensure adherence to internal policies and GCIC regulations.  Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and legal procedures.  Contribute to team projects and initiatives supporting the agency’s mission and goals.

Required Qualifications:  Education: High school diploma, trade school certification, or GED.  Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in office management, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:  Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel.  Experience managing budgets, purchasing, and payroll.  Prior experience working with local, state, or federal government agencies.

Skills & Competencies:  Strong knowledge of modern office procedures and financial administration.  Ability to manage office operations independently and efficiently.  Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.  Proficiency with standard office technology and software applications.  High level of discretion and judgment when handling sensitive information.

Salary Range:  Commensurate with experience.
