Assistant Solicitor-General
The Troup County Solicitor General’s Office currently has an immediate opening for an Assistant Solicitor General. to prosecute misdemeanor offenses in the State Court of Troup County.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, investigating and preparing cases for trial and representing the State of Georgia in all stages of criminal court proceedings. Applicants must be capable of effectively multi-tasking and working well in a team environment, possess a positive attitude, and a strong sense of personal and community responsibility. Must be a licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and salary is commensurate with experience.
Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
Preferred Qualification: The ideal candidate must be a licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia; must be able to multitask and work under occasionally stressful time constraints.
