Elder Abuse Training – Atlanta

Elder Abuse is a widespread, under-reported issue in our state. This training is designed to provide practical information that will aid in the investigation and prosecution of elder abuse cases. Attendees will leave this training with a better understanding of the issues surrounding elder abuse as well as strategies for how to effectively investigate and prosecute these cases.

Tentative Topics Covered:

  • Investigating Dependent Adult Abuse
  • Overview of Prosecution of Abuse
  • Animal and Elder Abuse
  • Federal Resources
  • Witnesses with Disabilities

This is an in-person training and there will not be a webinar option. It offers 6 CLE, POST, and Victim Advocate hours. Training is not open to the public, only State/County or Non-profit Personnel. Please register to attend.

Reimbursement: The only reimbursements that will be offered are to the staff of the District Attorney’s Offices if their Elected approves of the travel. No other reimbursements are provided by PAC.
