Status Update for State of Georgia v. Devin Brosnan and Garrett Rolfe

On July 21, 2021, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 15-18-6, I was designated District Attorney Pro Tempore by the Attorney General to handle the Fulton County case, the State of Georgia v. Devin Brosnan and Garrett Rolfe. At that time, I and my agency began conducting a thorough review of the facts and circumstances surrounding the case.

We have received several inquiries regarding the status of the case. At this time, the case remains pending as we are awaiting written reports from subject matter experts analyzing every aspect of this investigation. As we approach the anniversary date of the incident, we recognize and acknowledge the emotional impact this case has had and continues to have on the community as a whole. Serious felony cases, especially those involving the loss of someone’s life, require ample time to be thoroughly reviewed and investigated.
