Judicial Administrative Technician
The Judicial Administrative Technician at the Cobb County Solicitor General’s Office performs a wide range of administrative and clerical duties with State Warrants and Cobb County municipalities. This role involves document management, case docketing, data entry, organization, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warrant Processing:
• Assist in the intake, processing, and distribution of warrants in compliance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of active and pending warrants.
• Assist the Court Support Supervisor to coordinate warrant-related activities.
2. Case File Initiation:
• Create and organize case files for court proceedings, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
• Assist in data entry and document management using specialized applications.
• Coordinate the flow of case files between various teams and departments.
3. Communication and Coordination:
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and requests related to warrant status and court support activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, the State Court Clerk, and other county offices to facilitate warrant-related processes.
• Assist in maintaining communication between the warrant room and court staff.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
• Generate and maintain reports on warrant activities, case initiation progress, and related performance metrics.
• Ensure that all records are accurately documented, organized, and compliant with legal and office policies.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred).
• Previous administrative experience, particularly in a legal or judicial environment.
• Proficiency in office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with an acute attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prior administrative or clerical experience in a judicial, legal, law enforcement, or court environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management or docketing software.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume, time-sensitive environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with law enforcement, court personnel, and the public.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
