Records Clerk

The Western Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office is currently accepting resumes for a Records Clerk in the Athens-Clarke County Office. Depending on the selected candidate’s start date, this position may begin on a part-time basis to allow for training and knowledge transfer with the current employee. Upon the incumbent’s departure, the role will transition to a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
The purpose of this job is to provide front office customer service, administrative support, and records clerk responsibilities to the District Attorney’s Office. Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting visitors, responding to all incoming calls, correspondence, requests for information, and general inquiries to the District Attorney’s Office, serving as liaison between the District Attorney’s Office and members of the general public, records keeping, and performing additional tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of prior experience in records keeping, legal, governmental, administrative, customer service, or related fields. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of the criminal justice system is preferred.

Ability to speak fluent Spanish is preferred.

Requirements:
May be required to work on religious holidays.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Must work cooperatively with others.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must possess or have the ability to acquire Notary Public status.

Salary Range: $19.96 hourly (part-time) / $41,512 annually (full-time)
