LexisNexis 101 Webinar
Let’s take a dive into the world of LexisNexis. The session will cover Lexis research tips and tools that can help you save time, as well as how to set up a state-based page that provides access to your favorites, case law, statutes, jury instructions, and secondary sources.
Additionally, we will cover leveraging filters after searches have been made and finding relevant case law using the Ravel View. A case will be selected and we will cover how to leverage Shepard’s, Headnotes, and the Legal Issue Trail to find cases covering relevant issues. Lastly, there will be a tour of statutes and how to find previous versions of statutes, as well as Shepardizing.
The webinar is approved for up to 1 CLE General and 1 POST credit. Registration will close on Monday, June 26th at 5 pm. Please register before then if you would like to attend. When joining Zoom, please sign in with your full name! For law enforcement officers, your full name must appear on the Zoom Roster in order for you to receive credits.
Friendly reminder, CLE credits are only available for up to 21 days after the date of the training. POST credits are only available if law enforcement officers/investigators attend the session live and submit the form within 21 days of the training.
