Open Records Webinar
Thursday, July 1, from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Live Webinar via Zoom

Description of this Training:
This training will cover the requirements of the Georgia Open Records Act.  Significant time is spent on the duty to make records available, the duty to respond [the “3 day rule”], and the ability of a public agency to charge for its production of responsive records.  Significant time is also spent on the types of records that are exempt from disclosure with a particular emphasis on law enforcement and prosecutorial records. A review of Georgia appellate cases interpreting various provisions of the Open Records Act is also covered.

CLE and POST

CLE: Please note the CLE credit will fall under the in-house/self-study rule. The rule has a six hour maximum on CLE credits. A webinar falls in the same category as a video review.

POST: We are excited to now offer POST credit through webinars! In order to receive POST credit for this webinar, you must listen to the webinar live not review the recorded version. We are asked to take attendance at the start and the end of the session to show who is on the call. You must sign in with your first and last name to receive credit and be present for the entire webinar.

If you have questions, please contact the training team at training@pacga.org or call the main office.
