PAC Announces Promotion of Lalaine Briones to Deputy Director
Morrow, GA – The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia (PAC) announces the promotion of Lalaine Briones to Deputy Director. Briones will be responsible for internal operations and oversight of the various divisions at PAC. She will continue to serve as the Director of the State Prosecution Support Division, a position she has held since 2014.
She is the first woman to serve as Deputy Director since PAC was established in 1975.
Briones has more than 20 years of prosecutorial experience specializing in the area of Crimes Against Children. She previously served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Clayton Judicial Circuit, an Assistant District Attorney in the Crimes Against Children Unit in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit, Director of Legal Services for the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council, and Chief Executive Assistant for the Crimes Against Children Unit in the Clayton Judicial Circuit.
“Lalaine has spent her entire career serving and seeking justice for others,” said PAC Executive Director Pete Skandalakis. “She will continue to support Georgia prosecutors well in her new role as Deputy Director.”
Raised in Rome, GA, Briones received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law.
