ARIDE: A Guide for Prosecutors – Gwinnett County
This complimentary training, offered exclusively to Georgia prosecutors, offers a condensed overview of NHTSA’s Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) program. It will assist in equipping prosecutors with the knowledge to better prepare for trial and effectively elicit testimony from law enforcement in impaired driving cases.
While the full ARIDE course is a 16-hour training designed to enhance officers’ ability to detect and articulate impairment from alcohol, drugs, or both, this one-day session focuses on the key concepts most relevant to prosecutors. Participants will gain valuable insight into the ARIDE curriculum, which bridges the gap between Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) and the advanced Drug Evaluation and Classification (DRE) program. 6 hours of CLE credit will be offered.
In today’s climate of increasingly complex impaired driving cases and evolving substance use trends, this training offers timely, practical tools for courtroom success.
